As the NALC shared on their website, they have officially reached an impasse during the 15-day second round of negotiations after City Carriers overwhelmingly rejected the proposed tentative agreement.
This is good news for the APWU, as our contract negotiations at national won’t be impacted by the NALC contract. As such, our negotiations can likely proceed smoothly (as smoothly as possible, anyway) for now.
For more updates on the APWU contract negotiations, the National APWU.org website says:
“The APWU will continue to keep the members updated as we continue to bargain for a new union contract, including regular messages on the negotiation “hotline” at (202) 642-9049, our website (apwu.org), and on our social media channels.”
Those social media channels include YouTube, which can be found here. Our National President Dimondstein shares regular video updates on there about negotiations.
